To South Bend Again

Washington, Colorado, Nebraska and Clemson have joined the contest for Woodland Hills (Calif.) running back Marc Tyler (6-0, 214, 4.55)—all offering this week except for the Tigers, who offered at the beginning of April. The five-star runner from Oak Christian High School said that USC and Notre Dame are his slight favorites.

Marc Tyler Profile

"Right now, USC and Notre Dame are my top schools. I'm going to Notre Dame this Thursday with my dad (former UCLA and Los Angeles Rams star running back Wendell Tyler). We're going to the spring game on Saturday," Tyler said. This is the first time my dad's going with me so it's going to be fun. We're going to talk to Coach (Charlie) Weis. My dad's going to do all the work…he's got some questions for them. This will be my third visit. I went out there for their junior day and again for the game against USC last season. I really like the campus. It's probably my favorite along with Tennessee. They are a great academic school too.

"My dad also went with me to the USC Junior Day on April 2. We really liked it. My dad liked the coaches and the facilities. I'm really familiar with the school because it's so close to my house. Plus, with my Dad going to UCLA, I've watched the Trojans play for a long time."

Tyler's growing offer list now includes Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, UCLA, South Carolina, Mississippi, Clemson, Washington, Tennessee, Oregon, Nebraska and Colorado. He denies any time frame for a decision.

"I talk to USC, Notre Dame and Mississippi the most. They're all recruiting me really hard."

Tyler reports a 2.5 core GPA/May 8 first-time ACT/SAT.
