Jones, The New Pacer

Frederick Jones was the 14th player taken in the NBA draft on Wednesday when he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers. Jones, led the Oregon Ducks to the Elite-8 in the NCAA playoffs last March before losing to Kansas.

The NBA drafted thirteen foreign players in the two round draft. Chris Christoffersen, the 7-2 center for the Ducks last season was not drafted.

Mike Dunleavy Jr., the 6-9 forward who skipped his senior year at Duke, was the third player taken in the draft when Golden State took him. Dunleavy was a prep star at Jesuit High School in Portland. Dan Dickau, 6-0, Gonzaga (Mountain View High School, Vancouver, Washington) was selected by Atlanta on the 28th pick (last pick in the first round.)
