Sean Wiser Profile
"I went up to Oregon and Oregon State this week," Wiser said. "They both have offered me so I wanted to check out the campuses and meet everybody."
Wiser, from Oaks Christian High School in California, who also has offers from Duke, Kentucky, Virginia, Mississippi, Washington and Washington State, said that he liked both schools, but thought that Oregon had a little more to offer than Oregon State.
"Both schools were really impressive, but it looked like Corvallis didn't have as much around it as Eugene does.
"I went up to Oregon State on Friday," Wiser said. "It was nice because it was just me and the coaches…it was really personal. I got to check out the facilities and take a tour of the campus. I sat down with Coach (Mark) Banker and watched film. He told me that they want me to play receiver. I had a really good visit up there."
Wiser said he went to Oregon on Saturday for junior day. "I hung out with my teammate Anthony Gildon (cornerback). It was cool because they asked me to come in early so I could talk to Coach (Mike) Bellotti. We talked a lot about the school and we toured the facilities. They were crazy. Oregon's facilities are so nice…they have a two-story locker room with plasma TVs. They are also looking at me for receiver."
Wiser said he also plans on tripping to Stanford and California in two weeks. "I've been getting a lot of stuff from both Stanford and Cal. They are both really high on my list. I'm hoping to get an offer from both schools soon, but I don't want to jinx it."
Wiser reports a 3.9 core GPA and is awaiting April ACT results.
