The Freak Streaks Through Combine

Glendora, Calif -- For any Oregon fans making a wish list for the class of 2007, I would urge you to consider adding defensive end Everson Griffen somewhere near the top. Even though the database currently shows Griffin with only one star, expect that ranking to rise dramatically after today's amazing performance at the Los Angeles area Scout.com combine.

Everson, who's nickname is "the freak", stunned the combine coaching staff when he carried his 6-4, 265 pound rock of a body to a mind-blowing 4.46 time in the forty. The mark was one the fastest sprints of the day at any position.

Griffen made the trip from Avondale, Arizona to compete against some of the top talent in Southern California. Ironically the match up of the day pitted Everson in the one on one drills against Kris O'Dowd, who was the top rated offensive lineman at today's camp and he also hails from Arizona. Call it a draw.

Currently Griffen lists his five favorite schools in no particular order as USC, UCLA, Arizona, ASU and Oregon. All have offered scholarships.
