Sean Wiser Profile
"If I had to pick, I guess I'd choose Stanford slightly over Oregon (offer) as my top two," Wiser said. "I went to Stanford's Junior Day and it's a great school. They have a new staff and they're trying to go places. It's not that far from my home either, only about a six hour drive. I still have to apply to get in there but they've led me to believe my academics are strong enough.
"Stanford is pretty thin at wide receiver and they think I could come in and play. I really enjoyed meeting their staff.
"I also love the campus and the facilities at Oregon. I also like that they throw the ball a lot. They have more of a city feeling to their school than Oregon State does, which is why I like Oregon better.
"The other schools I like the most now are Duke (offer) and Virginia (offer)," he said. "Even though they are on the other side of the country, I like them because they are strong both academically and athletically. I've already visited Duke and I really like their wide receiver coach, Scottie Montgomery.
"I'm going to go out to Virginia this summer. It's a really good school and they have been recruiting me hard and their coaches came out to see me this spring.
"My parents don't have a preference about where I go," Wiser said. "They will let me make that decision. I haven't grown up favoring a school either."
"I wanted to make my decision by the end of the summer, but I won't commit if I'm not ready. All these schools want me for wide receiver. Michigan State is the only school which has recruited me as a defensive back."
Wiser reports a 3.9 core GPA and a 29 ACT.
