Schwartz chalks up another offer

Offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz received another offer tonight -- from Oregon. Schwartz, 6-5.5, 303, Pacific Palisades (Calif.) Palisades Charter HS, has received a lot of attention from around the country after his performance at the camp in Los Angeles and the Nike Camp Stanford.

According to Schwartz's father Lee, Oregon's offensive line coach Steve Greatwood offered the scholarship to Mitchell and that a written offer will come mail tommorow.

The senior Schwartz indicated that Greatwood told Mitchell that he'd rather have someone like Mitchell who's so athletic but may need technique refinement than someone technically strong who's not as good an athlete.

"Mitchell's very excited to have received the offer," Schwartz said in an email.

Schwartz's older brother Geoff is a starting lineman for Oregon.

Mitchell Schwartz also has offers from Michigan and Stanford.
