Running back Brandon Johnson (5-11, 190, 4.5) from Compton (Calif.) favors Oregon slightly over Washington, Cal, Miami and Ohio State. "I know a lot of people up at Oregon already," said Johnson, from Dominguez High School. "I think I'd be comfortable there and I keep hearing about how great their facilities are.

"I like Washington too because of head coach Ty Willingham and wide receiver coach Eric Yarber. They are good people and good guys to talk to. It seems like they have more to talk about than just football."

Johnson says he has scholarship offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Colorado, Boise State, San Jose State, Cal and Nevada, but admits that the only actual scholarship letter he has is from Boise State. "My coach says that they all have offered and that I'll be getting them in the mail," Johnson said.

"I'm gonna wait to decide. If I get selected for the Army All-America game (sponsored by Scout.com) then I'll make my commitment during that game. If not I'll wait until Signing Day."

Johnson may attend a camp at USC this summer and hasn't been to any of the schools in his top five. "I got invited to the Miami Junior Day, but wasn't able to make it because of track."

He reports a 2.5 core GPA and is awaiting June 3 SAT results.
