"I'm only being recruited as a linebacker. I'm good at stepping up and hitting people on the run to stop them. I still want to improve my pass coverage, even though I've had help with it at camps," said Hanna, a Scout.com three-star prospect.

"Oregon is part of the Pac-10, which I like because they play against some colleges that are kind of close to home. A friend I've known since pre-school has already committed there, Carson York, and it would be cool to play with him at the next level. I visited unofficially in June and I liked the linebacker coach, Don Pellum, a lot. They have the best facilities I've seen, plus they're a little short on linebackers.

"Colorado is part of the Big 12 conference. I like the architecture at the campus. My parents loved it in Boulder, and I felt very comfortable there, too. Coach Dan Hawkins is making the program rise to get some of his players to the NFL. Plus, Colorado has a good business program and that's what I want to major in," he said.

"I camped at Boise State on June 19 or 20. The coaches came up to me and sat me aside and paid me a lot of personal attention. I felt really comfortable when I was there and everything made me feel right at home. Boise State is recruiting me the hardest. They are in the WAC," Hanna said.

"I may commit within this month (10 more days). Otherwise, I will take official visits just to meet the players."

Hanna benches 285, squats 375 and has a 28 inch vertical jump.

He reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1620 SAT.
