Jeremiah Johnson ripped off a huge 52-yard run early in the 3rd Quarter as he stiff armed a few tacklers to the ground and shifted his way along the sideline for the big gain. Dennis Dixon capped off the drive as he eluded a couple defenders and took it into the endzone from 2-yards away.
Oregon 34, Stanford 10
Stanford took over on the next possession and drove the ball down the field on a long and time consuming drive only to be turned away on an Intentional Grounding penalty and the proceeding missed field goal attempt by Stanford's Aaron Zagory.
Stewart sustained a slight right ankle sprain on a run to the outside close to the end of the 3rd quarter. The injury doesn't appear to be too serious but the play marked the last action Stewart would see for the remainder of the game. Stewart finished with 22 carries for an impressive 168 yards and 2 Touchdowns, an average of 7.6 yards per carry.
