Devin Mahina Profile

Mahina says he's narrowed his choices to UCLA and BYU, but still plans to visit a few other schools as well. "I want to visit Colorado and Oregon too," Mahina said. "They are really starting to come on strong because they know that I've narrowed it down to my top two."

He hasn't scheduled any official visits yet, but he was at the UCLA/Utah game last weekend. "It was a lot of fun to be there," Mahina said. "I like the Rose Bowl a lot. It's huge and a great stadium to play in. I've been there a lot and am pretty familiar with everything already.

"UCLA is doing pretty well," Mahina said. "They lost a lot of players so everybody thought they'd struggle, but they've played hard. I also really like how they use their tight end a lot.

"I watched the Oregon game last night and was really impressed," Mahina said. "They are very exciting to watch and I like their uniforms. It's just seems like a fun school to go to.

"I heard that Colorado is really struggling but I haven't seen them play. The new coaches seem cool, so hopefully they'll be able to bounce back.

"I'm just going to take my time," Mahina said. "I want to take my visits and compare everything."

He reports a 3.0 GPA and a 1200 SAT score.
