In a web update Oregon's head coach Mike Bellotti told the Register-Guard that Jones "has an outside chance" of playing Saturday.
Jones was very impressive in spring and fall drills but suffered a sprained ankle during fall camp. On Tuesday, Bellotti indicated in his weekly media conference that Jones was not available for the Oklahoma game as the speedy receiver had not played enough football in fall camp and was not in condition to play.
Obviously the situation has changed. Jnes addition to the line up means that another 10.6-100 sprinter is added to the Ducks' arsonal. Jones was part of Oregon's 4 X 100 relay team and ran a 10.71-second time in the 100 meters at the Pac-10 Chamionships in May. In high school he recorded a 10.44-100 meters.
