It's Big

Three-star offensive lineman Darrion Weems (6-5, 265, 5.1) from Woodland Hills Taft (Calif.) hasn't set up any official visits yet, but favors Oregon solidly over Florida, USC, Nebraska, Arizona and UCLA. All of his favorites have offered except the Trojans. "I only hear from them from time-to-time," Weems said.

"If I had to commit right now I'd go to Oregon for sure," Weems said. "But it's a long year and there's a lot of recruiting left. I don't want to put a number on it, but it's a big lead."

Weems says that his favorite weekend activity is watching college football, although he missed the incredible second half of the Oregon/Oklahoma game. "I had to go to work, but I kept checking the score on me cell phone. I was excited that they won," Weems said. "I think now that they beat Oklahoma that they can run the table. If they can pull off a win against USC I think they'll go undefeated."

One game that disappointed Weems a little was the USC/Nebraska game. "I thought it would be a closer game. It wasn't a great performance by Nebraska, but they are still improving.

"Florida on the other hand seems to be looking really good," Weems said. "I haven't seen them play yet, but they've started pretty strong. I really like how well they've been recruiting recently and it looks like they are setting themselves up to go on a big run."

The Sun Devils are new to Weems' top five and he explains why. "They are graduating a bunch of guys and are going to need help on the o-line. I like that I'd be able to go in and compete for a job early."

He reports a 2.7 GPA and will be taking the ACT for the first time in October.
