Scout.com four-star offensive lineman (No. 24 nationally) Matt Masifilo (6-3, 260, 4.95), from Ewa Beach Campbell (Hawaii), dislocated his right elbow a few weeks ago causing him to miss his team's last two games (which they lost after starting the season 2-0). "I can't stand sitting on the sideline," Masifilo said. "Hopefully, I'll be back on the field in about two weeks."

Matthew Masifilo Profile

Masifilo, who appeared on the back cover of SuperPrep's Pre-Season magazine, favors Stanford, California, Oregon and Washington--and admits that the Cardinal and Ducks are two leaders.

"Stanford is a good team, but they are still really young and struggling," Masifilo said. "They are playing like seven freshman, but I think they'll be getting better as the year progresses. They still need about a year or two to get things going.

"Oregon on the other hand is playing unbelievable," Masifilo said. "They just picked up where they left off last year. Even though the refs made a bad call during the Oklahoma game, Oregon still showed a lot of character and fought hard to win that game."

He doesn't have any official visits set up yet and says he'll probably take most of them after the season. "I'll start to set up my visits in December."

He reports a 4.0 core GPA and a 1810 SAT.
