Talmadge Jackson Profile
It didn't take him long to make a decision.
"He committed on Sunday to Oregon," said Talmdage Jackson, Sr., his father. "He's pretty well stoked about it."
Jackson had been offered by UTEP and Colorado State and was one of the more underrated players in Southern California in this class.
At the Scout.com Combine in Los Angeles, he ran a 4.49 forty and had a 32.5 jump.
He had been playing running back for Chaparral this season, but also had an interception from his spot in the secondary.
"He kind of figured that at next the level he'd be playing on the defensive side of the ball," said Jackson. "Coach Neal got his film from the head coach at Chaparral and liked what he saw and that's where they offered him.
This year, Jackson has scored nine touchdowns for Chaparral, who are 4-0 and are coming off a big win over Corona (Calif.) Santiago and running back Ryan McCants.
