Awesome Autzen two-star cornerback Jamaine Olson (5-10.5, 165, 4.55), from Portland Jesuit (Ore.), has helped lead his team to a perfect 4-0 record. He says he has around 15 tackles. Olson's only offer is still from Stanford and he says the Cardinal leads solidly over Cal, Oregon, Washington and Oregon State. He will be visiting Palo Alto on December 8 and said Stanford is recruiting him the hardest.

Jamaine Olson Profile

"I talk with the defensive line coach (Dave Tipton) a lot," Olson said. "We talk about the games and he goes over the kinds of things they are doing to improve. They've had a lot of injuries and have a bunch of true freshmen playing for them. He says that even though they are still that he likes their promise. He told me that regardless of how they are doing now, the program still has a great tradition and he thinks I can be a big part of getting them back on track."

He also attended the Oregon/Stanford game on September 2. "It was a fun game," Olson said. "I've been to quite a few Oregon games already and I really like it there. Going to a Ducks game is one of the funnest experiences you can have."

Although he won't be in attendance at this weekend's California/Oregon game, he's very much looking forward to this Pac-10 match up. "Both Cal and Oregon have been playing really well this year, but I think Oregon will win," Olson said. "It's the hometown team, so I've got to cheer for them. Plus, they've been so strong this season that I think they'll get by Cal."

The Ducks in-state rival, Oregon State, is also recruiting Olson strongly. "I think they'll probably end up offering me. I definitely would like to take a few visits before I commit anywhere. I really want to get a feel for the school.

"Washington is recruiting me a lot too and that's definitely a program I want to learn more about," Olson said. "I've heard nothing but good things about coach Ty Willingham and they've really improved this season."

He reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1500 SAT.
