Ducks and Bears Meet at 5

Berkeley, Calif. – The 11th ranked Oregon Ducks (4-0, 2-0) take on the 16th ranked California Golden Bears at Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of California. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. and the game will be carried on ABC Regional.

The Ducks are coming off a 48-13 win over Arizona State and the Bears beat Oregon State last week, 41-13. The game promises to feature a match up between running backs Marshan Lynch for the Bears and Jonathan Stewart and Jeremiah Johnson of the Ducks. Quarterback Dennis Dixon is returning the East Bay, where he grew up and went to high school at San Leandro High School. The Ducks also have a number of other players that grew up in the area including Cameron Colvin, Terrell Ward, Willie Glasper, Chris Mulvanny and J.D. Nelson. Cupertino native Garren Strong did not make the trip.

Defensive tackle Jeremy Gibbs along with the other three healthy scholarship defensive tackles are also on the trip and available for action.

The Ducks will be clad in a white jersey, black pants and green helmet when they take the field for the 5 p.m. kickoff. Besides the ABC the game the will be re-telecast on Oregon Sports Network on Saturday night with Joe Giansante and Anthony Newman. OSN radio will begin the pre-game show at 4 p.m. with Jerry Allen, Mike Jorgensen and Jay Allen.
