Week 5 for NFL Ducks

For the first four weeks of the NFL campaign there hasn't been a lot to report about former Duck quarterbacks. On Sunday though a name from the past had a good day despite his team losing.

Harrington was 26-for-41, 232 yards and two interceptions. The Dolphins are now 1-4 for the year and the Pats are 4-1. His teammate tight end Justin Peelle had two catches for six yards.

In the Battle of the Bay, the San Francisco 49ers (2-3) overcame the Oakland Raiders (0-4) by a score of 34-20. Offensive tackle Adam Snyder started for the 49ers and his teammate, safety Keith Lewis had a tackle.

Linebacker Peter Sirmon was very active for the Tennessee Titans (0-5) with four tackles and four assists. The Indianapolis Colts (5-0) needed a late touchdown to secure a 14-13 win over the Titans.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2) picked up a win over the New York Jets 41-0. Tight end George Wrighster had two catches for 13 yards for the Jags. Jets quarterback Kellen Clemens missed on his only pass attempt but did pick up two yards and fumbled in mop up duties.

Wide receiver Samie Parker had five catches for 37 yards and a touchdown for the Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) in a 23-20 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona is now 1-4 for the season.

Running back Reuben Droughns rushed for 65 yards on 19 carries and caught three passes for three yards for the Cleveland Browns (1-4) but the Browns lost to the 3-2 Carolina Panthers, 20-12.

Punter Josh Bidwell had six punts for an average of 38.8 yards per punt with a long of 55 and four inside the 20 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4) against the New Orleans Saints (4-1). Tampa Bay linebacker Wesly Mallard played in the game which was won by the Saints, 24-21. New Orleans No. 3 quarterback Jason Fife was on the Not Active list.

Quarterback A.J. Feeley was on the Not Active list for the Philadelphia Eagles (4-1) against the Dallas Cowboys (3-2). The Eagles won 38-24.

The San Diego Chargers (3-1) knocked off the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-13 and Chargers defensive end Igor Olshansky had a tackle and two assists including a half sack. The Steelers are now 1-3 for the year.

The Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans and Seattle Seahawks had an open date. Tomorrow night wide receiver Demetrius Williams and defensive tackle Haloti Ngata will be on Monday Night Football as their Baltimore Ravens take on the Denver Broncos.
