Back for Spring Ball

Mark Asper has been spending the last two years in Spain on a mission, but next spring he'll be on the campus of the University of Oregon, enrolled in school and participating in the Ducks' workouts. Asper committed to Oregon two years ago (2004) out of Bonneville High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Virginia Asper said her son will return from his mission to Spain on January 4, 2007 and will workout at home before heading to Eugene in time for spring session and spring football.

Even though Mark Asper, 6-7, 275 has heard from BYU, his mind is made up and he intends on keeping his original commitment to Oregon as an offensive lineman.

"He's committed to be a Duck," Mrs. Asper said of her son Mark.
