Goalkeeper Jessie Chatfield and defenders Nicole Dobrzynski and Darcie Gardner were selected to the Pac-10 all-academic first team. Chatfield has a 3.95 grade point average in physical education, Dobrzynski holds down a 3.90 gpa in business administration and Gardner has an impressive 4.03 gpa, but has not declared a major.
Senior forward Nicole Garbin, sophomore midfielder Allison Newton, junior forward Tiffany Smith and junior defender Dylann Tharp were all chosen as Pac-10 all-academic honorable mention selections.
Gardner, from Bellingham, Wash., was also an ESPN the Magazine CoSIDA District 8 all-academic first team selection. She is just the fifth Duck to be selected to the District 8 first team.
Chatfield and Dobrzynski were named to the District 8 second team, giving Oregon three CoSIDA honorees for only the second time in school history.
