Ducks trail 20-7

Corvallis, Ore. -- Fumbles, turnovers and dropped passes were the story in the half of the 110th Civil War. The Oregon State Beavers went into the locker room with a 20-7 lead over the Oregon Ducks.

The game got off to a rocky start for the Ducks when Dante Rosario fumbled the first pass of the game from Brady Leaf on the Oregon 31. OSU's Matt Moore found tight end Jason Vandiver on an 11-yard pass for a touchdown.

The Ducks evened things up when Moore found Sammie Stroughter who then coughed up the ball the Beavers 42. Jonathan Stewart went into end zone on a 2-yard run and the scored was tied at 7 with the point after.

Oregon State responded with a drive that netted 3 points when Alex Serna hit a 49-yard field goal. Beavers regained the lead 10-7.

Leaf was intercepted by Derrick Doggett and he returned the ball 34 yards for a touchdown and the Beavers jumped out to a 17-7 lead.

Serna hit another field goal of 48 yards to make the score 20-7.

Paul Martinez missed on two field goal attempts of 36 and 34 yards.
