Taylor Named Pac-10 Player of the Week

Junior guard Bryce Taylor was named Pac-10 Player of the Week by the conference today. The 6-4 athlete from Encino, California averaged 19.7 points, seven rebounds and 3.3 assists during the last three games. Oregon has a perfect 10-0 record for the year.

The week started off well for Taylor against Bethune-Cookman when he scored 21 points on 7-for-11 field goal shooting including 3-for-4 outside the 3-point arc. He also had six rebounds and two steals. On Friday night against Eastern Washington University, Taylor had 24 points on 8-of-10 field goals plus eight boards as the Ducks emerged with a 100-74 win. On Sunday night Taylor pumped in 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting and all his converted field goals were 3-pointers. He also contributed seven rebounds and seven assists as the Ducks overcame Idaho State 84-55.

For the week Taylor shot 19-for-28 (.679) from the field including 9-of-14 (.643) in 3-point shooting and 12-of-15 (.800) in free throws.

Taylor becomes 25th Duck ever to be named Player of the Week by the Pac-10.
