Brooks Player of the Week

Guard Aaron Brooks was named U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week for January 1-7, the conference annouced today.

Brooks, averaged 28.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds last week when the Ducks split with USC and UCLA. On Thursday night the Ducks fell to USC 84-82, but Brooks shot 11-for-18, including 6-for-9 outside the three-point arc. He also had five assists and three steals against the Trojans.

Last Saturday, Brooks led the Oregon scoring with 25 points (9-of-13) including the game-winner with 13 seconds left in the contest. He also had three rebounds and three steals.

Brooks now leads the conference in scoring at 18.1 points per game.

This week's award is the first for Brooks and only the 26th time a Duck has been named Player of the Week.
