Coach Mike Bellotti called Aaron Pflugrad last Friday and extended an offer.
"My dream has always been to play in the Pac-10," Plfugrad said regarding the offer. "I'm really excited about it."
Oregon isn't Plugrad's only Pac-10 offer. Oregon State has also offered the star from Eugene's Sheldon High School and Pflugrad has a trip scheduled to Arizona State. He also has offers from Idaho, Eastern Washington, Portland State and Northern Arizona.
Speaking of Idaho, it was Dennis Erickson that extended the first scholarship offer to Aaron and obviously when Erickson took the job at ASU, he remembered the football players he liked.
Pflugrad already knows a fair amount about both Oregon and Oregon State so the trip to Tempe will help settle things as to where he will commit.
"The visit to Arizona State will tell me a lot," observed Pflugrad as to where he is at in his decision making process. "I can compare and contrast things."
By the way there is another factor that may come to play in the decision. Plfugrad caught 60 passes for over 1,000 yards for the Irish and helped his team go 11-1, with the only loss to eventual 6-A champion Jesuit. Last year he played for Pullman High School and transfered this season because his dad, Robin Pflugrad got a new job -- the receivers' coach at Oregon. Would the fact that he might be playing for his dad at Oregon make any difference in his decision.
"Yeah it does," admitted Aaron Pflugrad. "I would love to play for my dad. I'll factor that into my decision."
However Aaron isn't quite ready to make a decision and he is looking forward to his trip to ASU. Pflugrad hopes to make a decision soon and if so he'll let eDuck Sports know what it is.
Will factor into his decision
