Wrighster had four receptions for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Wrighster, 6-4, 250 from Van Nuys, California is a junior majoring in pre-business. Headed into the 2002 season, Wrighster had recorded one touchdown reception for his career. He caught the touchdown pass last season against Arizona. On Saturday, Wrighster's second touchdown pass was also his career longest reception of 28 yards.

Smith, 5-10, 204 transferred to Oregon from Tennessee two years ago. Smith sat out the 2000 season, but last year rushed for over 1,000 yards while sharing running chores with Maurice Morris. Morris, now with the Seattle Seahawks also rushed for over 1,000 yards last season for Oregon.
Smith ended up with 124 yards rushing on 28 carries against Mississippi State on Saturday. The longest run was 18 yards.

York was catapulted into the starting quarterback position after Kevin Fant was suspended by the NCAA due to a self-reported violation involving an extra benefit. York, a redshirt freshman, was 18 for 37 and 192 yards with one touchdown.
Saturday's loss to Oregon was the first loss in a season opener since 1993. York's start was the first start by a redshirt freshman since September 26, 1998 when Wayne Madkin started against South Carolina.

Howry increased his career punt return yardage with two returns for 25 yards against Mississippi State. Howry now has 76 returns totaling 829 yards. Pat Johnson is second on the punt return list with a career total of 798 yards.
