Cali All-American Comments On Visit To Oregon

Carson (Calif.) defensive tackle Mathew Malele took his first official visit of the year to Oregon this past weekend and the Ducks solidified themselves at the top of the leader board for the All-American lineman.

"The whole trip was off the hook," Malele said. "The crowd at the game was the loudest I've ever seen. The campus, the coaching staff, the players, I loved everything about it."

The trip came about pretty quickly for Malele. We just talked with him a few weeks back and the only visit he had set up was to Tennessee for November 8.

"They called me September 1 and we set it up then," Malele said. "I wanted to take some of my trips during the season anyway so I could see a game so it worked out perfectly. Me and A.J (Tuitele- committed DB) went up together and had a real good time. Like I said before, they're going to be tough to beat. I still want to take all my trips but Oregon is right up there right now."

Malele said the only other visit he has lined up is the one to Knoxville. Notre Dame, Stanford, USC and Washington are the others on the short list who will battle for the remaining three visit openings.
