Pivo's Bottom Ten (9-10-02)

Pivo has kicked Colorado out of his Bottom Ten, but this week's list may say something about the upcoming Saturday match up in Autzen Stadium!

Pivo's College Football Bottom Ten

10) UTEP- Who loses to Kentucky 77-17 ?

9) Tulsa- The rushing game just isn't there... averaging 2 yards per rush. Couldn't you do better by just falling forward?

8) Rutgers- A perennial cellar dweller. The Scarlet Knights are 7-28 since 1999. By the way, what in the world is a Scarlet Knight?

7) Troy State- Give them credit they play a tough schedule. But replacing Quarterback Brock Nutter isn't easy. Nutter is listed in the media guide as the most prolific passer in school history. Isn't that like saying the little girl from the Partridge Family was the best tambourine player in rock and roll history?

6) Illinois- 0-2... lost to Southern Miss last week... coaches don't stay around long at Illinois starting the season 0-2 and losing to Southern Miss.

5) Utah State- Lost last week at Nebraska in front of the largest crowd to ever see a Husker game. Why in the world did that many people come to see Utah State?

4) Ohio- 41 point underdogs to Florida... nuff said.

3) Lousiana Monroe- First game of the season they had a 3-0 lead in the first quarter against Ole Miss. Since then they've been outscored 69-0. 2) Ohio- Leading receiver Stafford Owens has 4 catches for 49 yards. Not exactly Air Coryell is it?

1) Idaho- 32 point underdogs to the Ducks. In the off season Head Coach Tom Cable fired his Defensive Coordinator and replaced him with Ed Lamb. Lamb's "bend and then break" defense has given up 87 points in the first two games. Nice work.
