Ducks Set Rosters for Saturday's Spring Game

EUGENE – Starting quarterback Dennis Dixon will headline the White team while running back Jonathan Stewart looks to carry the Green squad as the University of Oregon football team divided its roster for Saturday's annual Spring Game. Kickoff for the exhibition will be 2 p.m., with spectators asked to supply three non-perishable food items per person for admission.

Contributions from the game will be donated to Food for Lane County.

The intrasquad scrimmage that concludes the Ducks' spring practice will consist of four 12-minute quarters, with the first three periods to utilize normal game-like clock operations while the fourth quarter will shift to running time, with the exception of the final two minutes.

New offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will serve as the head coach for the White unit while defensive coordinator will head the Green team's coaching staff.

The roster was dispersed through a common draft, with Aliotti to benefit from the services of seven of the 14 returning starters from a year ago while the White team will have four. The remaining three returnees -- offensive tackles Geoff Schwartz and Max Unger, as well as guard Josh Tschirgi, will not play while recovering from injuries.

Joining Dixon on the White team will be last year's receiving leader Jaison Williams, along with cornerback Walter Thurmond III and rover Patrick Chung. Freshman Cody Kempt also will work his way into the lineup at quarterback for the White squad.

Brady Leaf, Nate Costa and Justin Roper will quarterback the Green team, which will rely on wide receiver Brian Paysinger, defensive linemen Nick Reed and David Faaeteete, linebackers A.J. Tuitele and Kwame Agyeman, and cornerback Jairus Byrd, to provide support for Stewart.

Among the festivities, which will include the Oregon Marching Band and the Ducks' cheerleaders, will be an opportunity for someone in attendance to kick halftime field goals to win gift certificates from Outback Steakhouse as well a chance for a University of Oregon student to receive a term of free books from the UO Bookstore.

Parking in the Autzen Stadium east parking lot is free, with gates to open at 11 a.m. Access into the stadium will be available through the south and east gates only, beginning at 1 p.m.
