The senior Wade wanted to respond to internet rumors and speculation as to his son's future.
"Myles didn't qualify," said Jerry Wade of Myles Wade's plans to enroll at Oregon. "He (Myles) intends to enroll at a junior college and get himself into a position to come back to the University of Oregon."
Wade, a U.S. Army All-American, played his senior, sophomore and freshman years at Central Catholic High School in Portland but spent his junior year at Benson High School (Portland).
Internet rumors regarding Wade have been circulating and speculation as to the reasons for Myles eligibility issues have been inaccurate. Wade came up short and now will seek to remedy his situation so that he can continue his academic and football career as an Oregon Duck.
Oregon will begin fall camp on August 6th with the first game of the season against Houston at Autzen Stadium on September 1, 2007.
