More Snaps Helps Costa

Earlier this summer, Oregon's starting quarterback Dennis Dixon signed a contract to play with the Atlanta Braves organization. The news meant that Dixon would miss all of the summer workouts that the Ducks voluntarily participate in but it also meant that Nate Costa, the second year player from Hilmar, California would benefit with the additional snaps during 7-on-7 drills.

Nathan Costa, 6-1, 198 appeared in two games throwing 5-for-5 and 73 yards. If Dixon returns for fall camp in completely ready to go for the upcoming season, it is possible that Costa will utilize a red shirt and sit out next season. However, at this point if Costa needs to step on the field and take the controls, he's ready to go.

With one week of voluntary workouts left to go, eDuck Sports caught up with Costa and talked about the summer.
