Drean Rucker, a 6-1, 230 pound linebacker from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Canyon Springs is a very hot linebacker prospect and is drawing much attention nationally. He is having a sensational senior season Could Rucker be a Duck?
"He has been dominating games," Canyon Springs defensive coordinator Shane Prosser told TheInsiders.com. "He has 40 tackles and four quarterback sacks in three games this year. He had 17 tackles and two sacks against Bloomington last week and took the game over making tackles from sideline to sideline.
"He is showing so much speed and range. If there was any question before the season he is definitely showing that he is the most dominant linebacker in the West."
Rucker has indicated that Oregon is among his top-five choices for programs he is considering. Oregon has offered to four-star linebacker along with USC, Oregon State and Washington. Oklahoma is the fifth school Rucker has an interest in but the Sooners have not yet offered a scholarship.
Rucker is the number 17 linebacker nationally as ranked by TheInsiders.com.
