Strong start for star DE

Lawrence Jackson is off to a great start. In just three games he has racked up five sacks, three deflections or tipped passes and 35 tackles for Inglewood (California) High School.

USC has moved up on his list partly due to the Southern Cal coaches paying more attention to him, but he maintains that he is wide open.

"I haven't really narrowed it down," Jackson told TheInsiders.com. "I have set up a visit to Tennessee on Nov 9th and that's the only visit I've set up so far".

Early playing time is important to Lawrence, but schools will find it difficult to play this angle since Mr. Jackson sees early playing time everywhere. So what's going to be the deciding factor for him?

"Basically it is going to come down to how I feel on signing day," said Jackson. "I'll think about the school, the education, the coaches, the players who I'm playing with and who I'm playing against."

Jackson 6-3.5, 241 is a linebacker that runs the 40-yard dash in 4.93 seconds. He is a five-star rated defensive end that is ranked number three nationally at his position by TheInsiders.com. He lists USC, Colorado, Miami (FL) Oregon, Tennessee and Washington as his favorites and has been offered a scholarship by all six programs.
