Week 1 in the NFL

Week 1 in the NFL saw several former Ducks in action. Tomorrow night defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and wide receiver Demetrius Williams of the Baltimore Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals and Adam Snyder and Keith Lewis of the San Francisco 49ers play the Arizona Cardinal on Monday Night Football.

Harrington and the Falcons were roughed up by the Minnesota Vikings, 24-3. Harrington was sacked six times and intercepted twice on a 23-for-35 day for 199 yards.

Tight end George Wrighster had a catch for three yards for Jacksonville in a 13-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The New York Jets lost to the New England Patriots 38-14, but Jets back up quarterback Kellen Clemens was 5-of-10 for 35 yards.

Wide Receiver Samie Parker was the leading receiver with four catches for 48 yards in the Kansas City Chiefs but the Houston Texans won the game 20-3.

Maurice Morris had a 34-yard touchdown reception that helped the Seattle Seahawks down the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20-6. Morris also had three carries for 15 yards. Punter Josh Bidwell had six punts averaging 35.0 yards with a long of 57.

The San Diego Chargers beat the Chicago Bears 14-3 and Chargers' defensive end Igor Olshansky had two solo tackles and an assist.

Tight end Justin Peelle had two catches for 12 yards and a touchdown for the Miami Dolphins in a 16-13 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Running back Reuben Droughns had one carry for five yards for the New York Giants in a 45-35 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
