Ducks will have a 4-Star visitor

One of the games we circled on our calendar earlier in the year as a 'must see' is this weekend's contest between Tustin (Calif.) and Mision Viejo (Calif.). Our top two rated offensive linemen in the West, Sam Baker and Drew Radovich will square off in what should be a very exciting contest

Baker, 6-5, 285 pounds is one of the most physical players anywhere in the country. He's very strong and moves so well that he was actually moved to tight end this past weekend to help get the Tiller running game going.

"We we're having some problems getting around the corner so Coach Miller moved me to tight end and Chris (Barrett- All-American TE) to H-Back to give us more power on our sweep plays which we run most of the time.

"It worked well because we rushed for over 300 yards and won the game. I'm pretty sure I'll move back to guard this week because one of our starting guards got injured but I'll play wherever I'm needed."

Baker will also play a little defense so there's a chance he and Radovich could go head to head.

"I don't play a lot of defense but I think I'll play there a lot this weekend," Baker said. "I've been getting more time there in the past few weeks so I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Baker is being recruited strictly as a guard and has set up his first official visit.

"I'm going to Oregon (Dec. 13)," Baker said. "I also know I'll visit Florida but I'm not sure about that date yet. They want me to come in as late as possible, sometime in January. I think they said it's because they want to try and make a good last impression before Signing Day.

"I want to take all five of my trips but I don't know if I will. Everyone always says they'll take all five but I've never talked with anyone who has. I think a lot of people just get tired and commit before taking them all. I want to take a visit to Fresno State to see Ricky (Miller- former teammate and best friend) and I'm considering Arizona State and Ohio State for the other visits.

"USC is still my leader but I don't think I need to take an official visit there because I know the school so well and I've been there so many times."

Baker added that he and Barrett would likely take all their trips together and still plan on signing with the same college as a package deal.

Baker is rated four-stars by and is ranked number 17 nationally as an offensive lineman. Barrett is a five-star recruit and ranked number three nationally. Barrett will also visit Oregon on December 13th.
