DB to arrange trip to Eugene.

Chad Green, a 6-0, 175 pound defensive back from Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham took his first official visit of the year to Oregon State two weeks ago and has three other trips tentatively set up. Here's the latest. Green visited the Beavers (Sept. 20) and saw the team dismantle Fresno State.

"I had a real good time," Green said of his recent trip to Oregon State. "It's a nice, small quiet town and I like that. I kind of like the big city atmosphere of Los Angeles, but I could definitely get used to Corvallis. I enjoyed meeting the players and coaches and seeing what the school is all about. The team looked great, they were explosive on both sides of the ball."

Green's next visit will be LSU (Nov. 23) and he has December trips lined up with Washington and Oregon but doesn't have the exact dates lined up yet.

"For my last trip, I'm considering Nebraska, Arizona State and UCLA," Green said. "Everyone but Oregon, Nebraska and UCLA has offered. If UCLA offered me, they would move way up. I was really impressed by how well they played against Oregon State. I thought they had a chance to win but they just dominated on both sides of the ball. The score was really a lot closer than the game actually was."

On the season, Green is still waiting for his first interception but when you're as talented a cover man as he is, you don't get a lot of opportunities.

"Honestly, I've only had a handful of passes thrown my way this whole season," Green said. "It's kind of frustrating at times but I guess I should take it as a compliment."

Green has a three-star rating as a corner back and is ranked 68th nationally at his position.
