Offensive lineman Dan Mazan, 6-4, 295, 4.9, Carteret High School (Carteret, NJ) has an astounding 34 offers for his services. Most recently he has received offers from Kansas State, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Syracuse, Virginia, Maryland, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Penn State, Wake Forest and Temple, Colorado, Florida State, Oregon and Ohio State.

Current leaders:

"Big Ten or Big 12. I am looking for a school that runs the ball," said Mazan. " I have set up visits to Oregon (12/18) and Penn State. (12/12)"

Will he make and early decision or a late one?

"I'll make a decision in January or February," said Mazan.

Early games:

"We are four and 'O' and our tailback is averaging 10 yards per carry," said Mazan. "I am guessing that I have about 35 or 40 pancake blocks far. In my third game I had 14 against JFK."-

On Rutgers:

"There is an interest. They did a good job against Tennessee, they should have been up 21-7 at the half. I watched that game. They did good. I am keeping my options open."

Notes: Last season on offense Dan threw 60 pancake blocks (six per game)! On defense Dan had 58 tackles, 10 sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and five passes batted down. That performance was good enough for Second Team All State, First Team All Area, First Team All County, First Team All Conference, and First Team All Division. Dan is regarded as one of the top offensive linemen on the east coast this year Dan was a member of Mike and the Big Dog's Preseason All New Jersey Team
