Harrington came in after starter Byron Leftwich sprained his ankle in the 3rd quarter. Harrington went 12-for-18 for 128 yards. The loss dropped Atlanta to 1-6 while the Saints improved to 2-4.
Wide receiver Demetrius Williams had a catch for 18 yards and Haloti Ngata had three tackles (two solos) but the Baltimore Ravens (4-3) lost to the Buffalo Bills 19-14. The Bills are now 2-4 for the season.
The New York Giants (5-2) downed the 2-and-4 San Francisco 49ers, 33-15 as Giant running back Reuben Droughns carried the ball five times for seven yards. Offensive tackle Adam Snyder was on the participation list for the 49ers but Keith Lewis was listed as Not Active.
Tight end Justin Peelle had four catches for 42 yards with a long of 13 as his Miami Dolphins (0-7) lost to the New England Patriots, 49-28. The Patriots are perfect at 7-0 for the year.
The Detroit Lions (4-2) beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-3) by a score of 23-16. Tampa Bay's Josh Bidwell had one punt of 47 yards and one punt blocked.
Samie Parker had a catch for two yards for the Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) in a 12-10 win over the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders dropped to 2-4 as a result of the loss.
Maurice Morris had 10 carries for 42 yards with a long of 21 and two catches for 18 yards as his Seattle Seahawks (4-3) downed the winless St. Louis Rams, 33-6.
Neither quarterbacks Kellen Clemens of the New York Jets (1-5) nor A.J. Feeley of the Philadelphia Eagles saw action on Sunday. The Jets lost a 38-31 contest to the Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) while the Eagles (2-4) fell 19-16 to the Chicago Bears (3-4).
