Matthew Harper recorded two critical interceptions against the Trojans last Saturday, returning the ball a total of 61 yards. One of the pick offs that sealed the game was made with less than 30 seconds left to go in the contest. Harper intercepted the pass on Oregon's 16-yard line stopping a possible game winning drive by USC.
Harper also had five tackles and broke up a pass in the game.
Three other Ducks have been named either Offensive or Defensive Player of the Week in the Pac-10 this season. Dennis Dixon has been named twice as the Offensive Player of the Week along with Jonathan Stewart. Nick Reed is the other Duck defender honored earlier in the season.
