4-Star Running back sets visit.

Lynell Hamilton, 6-0, 195 pound running back from Stockton (Calif.) Edison is one of the nation's top running backs and has offers from schools all over the country. The talented ball carrier will head to the Northwest this weekend for his first official visit.

"I have a visit lined with Oregon for this weekend," Hamilton said. "That's the only trip I have set up so far. I still haven't narrowed my list down and I have no idea where my other trips will be. I'm still looking at Michigan, Miami, a ton of others, I can't name them all. I have about a million offers right now so it's going to be hard to narrow things down."

Hamilton's Edison squad is rolling this year and is currently 5-0 after a close 17-14 win over NorCal power St. Mary's, Stockton. Hamilton suffered a hip pointer in the second quarter of the game and had to sit out the entire second half.

"I've never had that injury before," Hamilton said afterward. "I tried to play, but I couldn't run with the ball in my hands. It was very hard to turn (my body). I was absolutely devastated sitting out and watching my teammates battle without me but thankfully we pulled it out."

When healthy, Hamilton is an incredible talent who has great raw power and the speed to go the distance. He's a Student Sports Hot 100 selection and one of the nation's finest ball carriers.

Hamilton is rated four-stars by TheInsiders.com and is ranked No. 11 nationally at his position.
