Harper Reconsidering

It seemed the recruitment of 4-star running back/quarterback/linebacker Chris Harper was over last week when he announced he had chosen Kansas State University as the school he was going to attend. That was before KSU's offensive coordinator James Franklin decided to return to Maryland. Where does that leave Harper and the Ducks?

"Yes, its true," responded Chris Harper to the question if he reconsidering schools. "I'm reconsidering all the schools that recruited me and Oregon is probably on the top of that list."

Harper is a multi-talented athlete who can play quarterback, running back on offense and linebacker as well as being a star basketball player. Oregon is recruiting Harper as a quarterback and seeing the frame of the 6-2, 220-pound athlete that runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds, it's no wonder this latest development has created a stir.

Right now it is a "dead period" for recruiting as set out by NCAA regulations. Coaches are prohibited from making contact with prospective student-athletes until after the holiday season unless the athlete makes contact first.

Besides Oregon, Harper lists Illinois, Kansas State, and Missouri.
