Ducks Get Big Win In Tucson

The Oregon Ducks (10-4, 1-1) needed a split on the Arizona road trip and did so by beating Arizona (10-4, 1-1) in Tucson, 84-74. The Ducks led most of the game and were up by as much as 19 in the first quarter.

Malik Hairston was the high scorer for Oregon with 29 points on 11-17 shooting. Maarty Leunen recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Bryce Taylor contributed 15 while freshman Kamyron Brown added 13. For the game the Ducks shot 55.9 percent in field goal shooting and out rebounded Arizona 32-28.

Chase Budinger was the game top point producer with 30 for the Wildcats.

The Oregon defense limited Arizona to shooting 46.8 percent on 29-of-62.

Oregon returns to McArthur Court next week to take on California on Thursday night (5:30 p.m.) and then Stanford on Saturday with game starting at 1:30 p.m.
