4-Star Dixon sets up Oregon visit

Dennis Dixon, 6-3, 170 pound quarterback from San Leandro (Calif.) has set up his first four official visits. All four are to Pac-10 schools and the leader for his last visit is from a school who just received a quarterback commitment.

"Dennis will visit Oregon State (Nov.23), Washington (Dec.14), Oregon (Dec. 20) and USC (Jan. 17)," San Leandro assistant coach and recruiting adviser Scott Nady said. The Oregon visit may be moved to the first week of January but it's in December right now.

"Dennis has dropped Florida State. He wants to stay in the PAC 10 where his friends and family can come to his games. He will schedule his last official visit in about two weeks and it will most likely be to another PAC 10 school."

According to Nady, Dixon is also interested in Cal now and he and Nady will take an unofficial visit to the campus shortly.

"I am VERY impressed with Coach Tedford and his system," Nady said. "Dennis is gaining a lot of interest there and it's all because of Tedford. Right now, his leader for his last visit is ASU.

"Dennis took an unofficial visit there last year and liked it a lot. He met the baseball coaches and went to the Washington State game. He also met with the professors and talked to a lot of people there. He really likes really ASU a lot."
