Bobby Byrd, a 6-7, 290 pound offensive lineman from Oceanside (Calif.) took his third and final official visit last weekend to Oregon after also tripping to Washington State and Washington the previous two weeks. Although Byrd said he loved all three and could easily see himself at all three schools, two teams stand out a little bit right now.
"The trip to Oregon
was great," Byrd
said. "I loved the game atmosphere and it's a great city. Eugene is a nice small town and that's what I'm looking for. The coaches and players were great, I just really had a good time."
Byrd said he also loved his visits to Washington and Washington State and has a very tough decision to make.
"I'm down to those three schools and I'm hoping to decide very soon," Byrd said. "All three schools are great and I enjoyed visiting all of them. I can see myself playing at all of them but right now, I'm leaning more towards Oregon and Washington State. I just feel a little more comfortable there and I like the small town atmosphere.
"This decision is weighing pretty heavily on my mind so hopefully I'll be able to decide soon. It's going to be a hard one to make but the sooner I can get it over with, the better."
