Chris Harper, is probably one of the most versatile athletes ever to be recruited by the Oregon Ducks as he can play so many positions and confirmed his commitment to the Ducks via Myspace.com.
"Yes I did," responded Harper to the commitment to Oregon question.
Harper is a 4-star running back and ranked no. 34 nationally by Scout.com. However, the Ducks see him as the kind of player that will fit in nicely in the spread offense.
Harper had committed to Kansas State a few weeks ago and it was thought his recruitment was over, however the coach that was his main point of contact at Kansas State, Offensive Coordinator James Franklin left for Maryland.
Harper had 950 yards passing and 10 touchdowns and about 600 yards rushing plus nine touchdowns on the ground.
Oregon was Harper's final choice over offers from California, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Notre Dame.
