Anymore Questions?

Last week the world of rabid Oregon recruiting watchers was shaken when reports indicating quarterback Chris Harper from Northwest High School in Wichita, Kansas was being courted by the University of Michigan. This morning, eDuck Sports received a message from Harper.

Chris Harper, 6-2, 220, 4.45, is a gifted athlete who can play a number of different positions on the football field (and is a talented basketball player as well) had committed to the Oregon Ducks on January 18th.

As the recruiting wars reach the final days just before National Letter of Intent Day this upcoming Wednesday, it was reported that Michigan's Head Coach Rich Rodriguez had made overtures to sway Harper away from heading to Eugene. Michigan under Rodriguez is going to switch offensive philosophy from traditional Michigan football -- power football, straight ahead and in your face. Now the Blue and Maze will spread the field in an offense like Oregon's. That requires a gifted athletic quarterback, just like Harper.

Naturally, when Duck fans read those reports that Rodriguez had set his sights on Harper, there was some anxiety on many eDucker's parts as they continually hit the refresh button every 10 minutes, to see if there was anything new on the situation.

So here on a nice calm Sunday morning is the word, directly from Harper, who sent an unsolicited message to eDuck via MySpace.com:

"I HAVE NO INTEREST IN MICHIGAN.... PLEASE TELL EVERYONE THAT (LOL) THANK YOU... ITS A DONE DEAL... I'M A DUCK!!!"

For those that may not be familiar with internet lingo, Harper's message in capitalized letters indicates he is really emphasizing the message. LOL means laugh out loud and what else could anyone do or say seeing the frenzy some fans were in over the recruiting process?

So, if anyone has any questions where Harper will be spending the next four or five years of his live, just refer to Harper's own words, he's a Duck!
