Myles Wade, 6-3, 310, Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic/Western Arizona College, received a written offer from the Ducks and is committed according to Jerry Wade, Myles' dad.
"The Oregon coaching staff kept their word, Myles has their offer in hand," wrote Jerry Wade to eDuck Sports.
"He is committed to Oregon," the senior Wade continued.
Wade is no stranger to Oregon as he was part of the 2007 recruiting class. Unfortunately, he was unable to gain admission to the University so the U.S. Army All-American headed to Western Arizona in Yuma last summer.
Wade played at Western Arizona last year and is well on his way to receiving his AA degree and gaining eligibility to be part of the 2009 recruiting class.
Wade's commitment may be the earliest anyone has ever committed to Oregon, but in reality he has always been a commitment since he was a youngster in Portland. Oregon's faith and dedication to Wade has paid off as he is ready to come back to the state and wear the Green and Yellow of the Ducks of Oregon.
First Commit of 2009 is a familiar face
