J.T. Kerr has been talking a lot lately to the Oregon coaching staff, particularly John Neal, who covers the San Diego area for the Ducks. According to Kerr, Neal has implied that an offer will be coming from Oregon.
"Coach Neal told me that there is an opening due to a junior college player backing out on a commitment," Kerr told eDuck. "Neal is ecstatic because he said I was the best tight end he's seen this year."
Kerr has a big summer scheduled. He will attend the USC and SDSU passing camps. He likely will also attend the USC, UCLA and perhaps the California camps too. His team will camp at Fresno State.
Kerr lists (in no particular order) Arizona (o), Nebraska (o), UCLA, Oregon and Wake Forest as his favorites.
Kerr's weightroom numbers are very good. He benches 275 pounds, squats 435 and has a 265-pound power clean. He recorded a 4.8-second 40-yard dash at the L.A. Combine held on Saturday.
