Na'Darris Ward, a transfer from Georgia has applied to the NCAA for a waiver that would allow him to participate in the 2008 season with the Ducks.
Ward transferred to Oregon due to poor health of one of his close family members and asked the NCAA to waive the requirement to sit out one year.
Bellotti did not have a timetable on when Ward's application would be decided upon. The Oregon headman said that if Ward were available that likely he would see playing time immediately and would be "an asset at the line of scrimmage."
