Robinson visits the Ducks

Stephone Robinson, a 5-10, 170 pound wide receiver from Denver (Colo.) Mullen visited Oregon this past weekend on his first official visit of the year and will head back to the Pac 10 next weekend.

"The players are really treated like celebrities at Oregon," Robinson said. "Everywhere we went, people knew the Duck players by name and were giving us the red carpet treatment.

"I had a good time on the trip and it was very educational for me. I met with some academic advisors, talked a lot with my position coach, toured the campus and really got a good look at the football facilities they have their which are incredible. Probably the best I've seen. Everything is top of the line and brand new. Overall, it was a very good experience."

Robinson will visit Arizona State this weekend and is also considering USC and Notre Dame. Colorado, who Robinson was leaning to at one time is no longer on his list.

"They were short on scholarships and asked me to gray shirt," Robinson said. "That's not something I want to do. Notre Dame has been talking to me lately and USC has offered a visit and I think I'll probably set that up. There's always a chance I could just decide between Oregon and Arizona State after I visit next weekend but I kind of want to look around a little more and see what else is out there."
