Ducks Jump Out to 37-17 Halftime Lead

Corvallis -- The Oregon Ducks moved the ball in the first half of the 112th Civil War for 442 yards of total offense and went into the lockerroom with a 37-17 lead over the Oregon State Beavers.

Jeremiah Johnson racked up 203 yards of rushing on 12 carries and scored once to lead all runners in the game. His running mate LeGarrette Blount also had a touchdown on five carries for 30 yards.

Jeremiah Masoli was 8-for-14, 115 yards and a touchdown to Jeffery Maehl.

The Duck defense also got into the scoring act when Walter Thurmond III picked off a Lyle Moevao pass for a touchdown.

Place kicker Morgan Flint was good on all three of his field goal attempts of 38, 22 and 25 yards.

Moevao saved a rout when he hit Shane Morales on an 11-yard pass in the closing seconds of the first half. Moevao was 13-25, 177 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Jeremy Francis also had a touchdown reception. Place kicker Justin Kahut was 1-for-2 in field goals with a success at 24 yards.

Oregon's total offense of 442 yards was made up of 252 yards of rushing and 190 yards passing. OS had a total of 218 yards offense in the first half.
