Garren Strong, a 6-3, 190 pound wide receiver from Cupertino (Calif.) Homestead has had Oregon as his top school since the summer and took his official visit to Eugene this past weekend. Did the talented receiver pull the trigger?
"Not yet, but I had a great time," Strong
said. "I loved hanging out with the players and coaches there. It's a real family atmosphere among them and you can tell everyone is close because of how much they joke with each other. The players aren't afraid to joke with the players and vice versa.
"The facilities they have are great, I camped there this summer, that's where they offered me so I had seen them before. Basically the only thing that held me back from committing was the fact that I went on the trip by myself and my dad just wants to talk to the coaches a little bit.
"Coach Ferigno, the wide receiver coach will be coming over on Tuesday for a home visit and that's when I'll likely commit. I'm pretty set on going to Oregon right now."
Strong has already visited Washington State and has a January trip with Oregon State but will likely cancel it assuming he does commit on Tuesday.
